TORO Pre-Race Recon Pre-Race Recon: #804 Bonita, Bonita Tx

Overview

Dan Burch has a very big sand box; luckily for us he has invited everyone to come play in it! If you like sand, you will love this race! If you don't like sand, well,,,,,,, it may be a long, tiring day. The course is 13.5 miles of fast, flowing and flat trails. The trail will be shortened for the minis & ladies and will be approximately 7-8 miles. This property features deep sand whoops, fast straights, some flowing woods, a few sand whoops through the woods and a few MX jumps with alternates scattered through the property. If it stays dry, the sand will be very thick and the dust will be flying. If the trail gets some rain this week, the conditions could be amazing.

PLEASE BAG YOUR TRASH AND TAKE IT WITH YOU.

NO Campfires - This means no open flames on the ground, in a barrel, above the ground, etc. You may BBQ on a standard grill, but you need to watch it closely and extinguish it fully after you are done cooking. Propane heaters are fine. Anyone found to be violating this will be escorted from the property.

Bike Setup/Riding Suggestions

• Put on a fresh rear tire.
• Stiffen the forks to keep the front end from plowing.
• Stand up, stay on the gas, lean back and steer with the rear wheel!
• Try to keep momentum. The slower you go the more difficult it will be!
