We are very excited for the 2011-2012 TORO season. This past weekend we had a TORO Staff gathering to get everyone sorted and prepared for the season opener at Rocky Ridge. The track has got a great variety of terrain, including elevation, rocks, and some open sections and of course, the expert alternates.

We have made a few changes for this year so make sure you check our handbook for the latest updates. Some of the more notables are the long program has been lengthened and the Sunday AM routine. The long program will now be 2 hours long, with the checkered flag coming out 120 minutes into the race. For Sunday AM, the green flag will go out at 7AM and the track will close at 7:45. Those that leave at 7AM, should be able to get in 2 laps.

The gates will be open on Friday evening for those that enjoy a full weekend of being out of the city. The track will be closed until practice on Saturday at 11AM. Please remember to bring your transponders up to the scoring trailer with you when you sign up, it will make the TORO Staff members lives easier and your results will get posted faster.

The track had great moisture while we were out this weekend. As long as the sun doesn't take it all away and the rocks stay dry, the conditions should be great. With high's in the high 60's, we shouldn't need grip warmers just yet and we can leave the riding jackets at home. Looking forward to seeing all the old and new faces.

See y'all at the races!
